AFTER HOURS CARE
In the event of an emergency, please call 911 or go to the closest Emergency Room.
If you have a blood or body fluid exposure or other emergent condition, report directly
to an emergency room.
If you are covered by the Augusta University student insurance plan and the Student
Health clinic is closed, you do not need a referral to be seen by an outside provider.
You will be responsible for any uncovered expenses (the deductible and 20% co-insurance).
Make sure your provider is in-network to maximize the reimbursement from the insurance
company. Please note urgent care centers typically charge less than an emergency room.
If Student Health is closed and you want to be seen at Augusta University Family Medicine
Clinic, you can contact Tammy Harris at 706-721-9586 or Melvine Newman at 706-721-3930
(please identify yourself as a Augusta University student).
