Response to Upper Cervical Stability Testing in Healthy Individuals

Study Description: Upper Cervical Stability testing is an essential safety procedure prior to applying physical therapy treatment, particularly manual mobilization, of those with suspected neck instability. However, it is unclear if the responses to these tests are exclusive only to those with true neck instability. The purpose of this study is to determine what the reaction is in normal/healthy individuals so that we may better define a positive test.
