Mental activity during TMS

Study Description: Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), is a Federal Drug Administration (FDA) approved therapy for treating resistant major depression. Mental activity may be decreased in depressed patients and TMS has been shown to reduce mood symptoms while improving mental activity. The Lumosity computer games have exercises for speed, memory, attention, flexibility, and problem solving, all of which are areas that may be decreased with depression. This study is being done to determine if combining TMS and Lumosity brain training games will lessen the decreased mental activity seen in some depressed patients.
