The access request form will be used to grant initial privileges to Principal Investigators and their research staff. Each PI has access to all capabilities that the software can offer and can assign access privileges to members of the Investigator Group. PI's are capable of listing any GHSU affiliate as a member of their group, including temporary/permanent staff, students, departmental business managers, and other investigators.
Below is a brief overview of the access privileges that are granted under each type: Protocol, Animal Ordering/Husbandry, and Finance. When you assign a staff member an access type, they will receive all privileges. It is possible to assign a staff member multiple access types depending on their assigned research duties. It is possible to add/remove access privileges in the future by submitting a request.
In addition to access privileges, each staff member will receive eSirius alerts and automated email notifications.
Once access has been granted you can login to eSirius at https://esirius.augusta.edu/esirius. The login "User ID" and " Password" will be your Novell Groupwise User ID and Password.
Access to create new protocols and edit un-finished protocols that are being prepared for IACUC submission. New applications can be completed by members of the PI Group, but the PI must submit the protocol for IACUC review.
Access to create new amendments and edit un-finished amendments that are being prepared for IACUC submission. New amendments can be completed by members of the PI Group, but the PI must submit the protocol for IACUC review.
Access to request an ownership transfer of an approved protocol to another researcher.
Access to review current credit/debits to animal usage numbers for each protocol.
Access to search existing protocols for data. Includes several data filters, such as species type, approval date, expiration date, title, etc.
Access to predefined reports that pull protocol data.
Note: Protocol privileges are not protocol specific. Access will allow all group members review capability of all protocols authored under that PI. Additionally, PI staff does not need to be listed on an animal use protocol to receive access within an Investigator Group.
Access to create a new animal order request. The online request will be required to purchase animals from animal vendors and non-commercial sources.
Access to set up a standing animal order to span over a period of time.
Access to set up animal order templates to store purchase information for future use.
Access to search current or past animal orders. Includes several data filters, such as order status, species, housing location, protocol number, etc.
Access to predefined reports that pull animal receipt data.
Access to predefined reports that pull animal census data per room.
Access to predefined reports that pull specific cage card information, both active and deactivated cages.
Access to online request form for to request additional cage cards of a specific type (stock or breeding) for an identified location.
Access to review trial close (mid-month) and period close (month-end) invoices. Able to review account information assigned to each charge on the invoice. Capable of re-assigning account information on each invoice prior to charging accounts.
Access to search existing and past invoices.
