Are you interested in working in the Writing Center? Becoming a Writing Consultant looks great on any resume, since it demonstrates leadership ability, strong communication and writing skills, and experience teaching others.

To become a consultant, enroll in English 3830: Writing Center Theory and Practice. Students who enroll in the course will be employed in the Writing Center that same semester and will have the chance to continue working in subsequent semesters.

Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have received a minimum grade of "B" in English 1101 and 1102 (or their equivalents). Registration is by permission only. To enroll, contact the English and Foreign Languages Department.

If you have questions about the course or job, you can contact the Writing Center Director, Candis Bond, at
