The Chamber Music Institute is open to advanced string, piano, and select wind instruments and is a week of half-day rehearsal sessions, coached by chamber music professionals. Students will be assigned group members and repertoire which they will spend the week learning, while advancing in the craft of performing chamber music.

Those selected to participate will perform two concerts, one Thursday evening at Brandon Wilde, the other Friday evening in the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre on Augusta University’s Summerville Campus. Transportation is not included for the Brandon Wilde Concert. If a student cannot make both of the concerts, the student will not be able to participate.

Participation is limited and audition-based. Auditions require the performance of a prepared solo work and will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 1pm-5pm. Call 706-731-7971 or email consprog@augusta.edu to secure your audition time as soon as possible.

The Chamber Music Institute is made possible by a generous donation provided by Mr. and Mrs. John J. Chase. Their continued support of the arts provides this camp as a scholarship experience to exceptional music students in the greater Augusta area. Students selected will be required to pay an administrative support fee of $50 to secure their position with the camp.
