Alpha Mu Gamma, The National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society, recognizes students' achievements in foreign language study. The Iota Phi Chapter holds its annual initiation ceremony in late April for students with a 3.0 minimum overall GPA and who have achieved two grades of "A" in unrepeated college courses in one foreign language. The society also presents awards to the outstanding students for each year in French, German, and Spanish at the annual initiation ceremony.

Alpha Mu Gamma is the largest national collegiate foreign language honor society and the first foreign language honor society established in the United States. It honors excellence in ALL languages so that it encompasses all foreign cultures and groups.
