The Certified Personal Training Level 1 course is a NCCA accredited course for candidates wanting LIVE instruction with in-depth, hands-on practical labs to master the career skills & knowledge.  The best part of the course is the 15 hours of hands-on practical training labs that is not offered with any other certifications!  You will role play with assessing clients, programming, performing proper exercises, presentation skills and more.  Reading a book and testing does not get it done in the real world.  Register today in one of the hottest growing professions in North America.

Do you learn better in the classroom than online???  Or do you prefer an online self-paced option???

Well, we have both options!  When registering, choose whether to have additional lectures in the classroom or online, both led by a certified instructor.  Each student will participate in the hands-on practical that will be held LIVE in the Wellness Center Gym so that you can master the skills.   

 


Completion Requirements

  • Students must pass both written and practical exams.
  • Attendance policy will be given out the first day of class.
  • Adult CPR/AED certification is required prior to the final course meeting on July 21st. If a student is not yet certified, he or she can use the American Heart Association website to find a local CPR/AED class.
  • Students may complete an additional 30-hour internship after course end to qualify for Personal Trainer Level 2.
  • All requirements must be completed within 12 months of the original course start date.
  • Required textbook: 7th edition of the Fitness Professional’s Handbook with web resources (ISBN-13: 9781492523376) ** Now provided for free with your registration!**

The renewal period is based on the original course completion dates.
