The W. H. Pool Jr. Society was formed in 2005 to honor the contributions of Dr. W. H. Pool Jr., Professor Emeritus and Chairman of the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Radiology from 1974-87. Dr. Pool, a 1952 Medical College of Georgia graduate, completed his residency at Medical College of Georgia, then served on the faculty for all but two years from 1957-90.
The senior class of the Medical College of Georgia presented him with Teaching Excellence Awards each year from 1968-71. He was also noted as an excellent educator by the radiology residents of the class of 1989 and the family medicine residents of the class of 1985.
This course is designed for diagnostic radiologists, radiology technologists, sonographers and other health care professionals.
