Overview

Augusta University offers the state of Georgia's FIRST Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.  The program was established in 2005, at that time it was the only program offered in the nation.  The DNP now expands to include seven degree tracks for post-BSN and post-MSN study.

DNP - NO CONCENTRATION AND EXECUTIVE Nurse Leader TRACK

For professionals who have master's degrees in nursing and are currently certified as advanced practice nurses, i.e. nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists or nurse anesthetists or are certified as nurse executives.

DNP WITH ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE CONCENTRATION

For registered nurses who desire to become a nurse practitioner (NP).

Application Information

Application Deadlines:

  • Fall entry (all programs) - Deadline has been extended to May 1, 2017 for fall 2017 start.  Application to open August 25, 2016.
  • Spring entry (limited entry options) - Deadline has been extended to May 1, 2017 for spring 2018 start.  Application to open August 25, 2016.

All required application materials and documents must be received in order for an application to be considered complete and before an admission decision can be made. Supporting materials will continued to be processed after the program deadline.  The application deadlines may be extended on a space-available basis only.  Otherwise, the application closes on the posted deadline.

Applicants are encouraged to check the status of their application regularly to ensure documents requested and/or sent have been processed into the system.
