The Medical College of Georgia's Child Neurology Residency Program at Augusta University has for many years operated in conjunction with the Adult Neurology Program. The program consists of one year of adult neurology, one year of child neurology and one year, comprised of neuropathology, child psychiatry, EEG, EMG, neuroradiology, and neuroscience electives. The program is designed to meet the requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, by which our program is certified.

The child neurology clinical faculty consist of Drs. James Carroll, Yong Park, Elizabeth Sekul, Ki Lee, Mary Gregory, and Patricia Hartlage (emeritus). Dr. Morris Cohen is the neuropsychologist for our division. The division does all aspects of child neurology, with a specific emphasis on epilepsy

The usual pathway to child neurology is two years of training in general pediatrics, but other routes are possible and should be discussed with the program director. We accept one person per year. Child neurology now participates in the Match Program (information will soon be available at www.sfmatch.org ). Applicants are encouraged to contact the director listed below as soon as possible.

Our program emphasizes excellence in clinical child neurology. Many of the faculty are strongly involved in research, and resident involvement is encouraged.
