Dr. Pantin graduated with his medical degree in 1997 from the University of the West
Indies, St. Augustine Trinidad, followed by Internal Medicine Residency at Howard
University Hospital. In 2007, Dr. Pantin was awarded the Hematology and Medical Oncology
Fellowship at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. In 2010, Dr. Pantin was
awarded the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Fellowship at the National Heart Lung
and Blood Institute. He is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and
In 2009, Dr. Pantin became the Chief Fellow for the Hematology and Medical Oncology
Fellowship Program for the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. Presently, Dr.
Pantin is the Interim BMT Quality Manager for the Bone Marrow Transplantation program
for Augusta University, since 2014.
Awards and honors for Dr. Pantin include GME Outstanding Resident of the Year, Clinical
Director Special Act of Service, and Individual Award for Excellence in Administration
3rd Annual NHLBI Star Awards.
Dr. Pantin is currently a fellow for the American College of Physicians. Also, Dr.
Pantin is currently a member of several committees, including the Cancer Institutional
Review Board, Cancer Disparities Steering Committee and Augusta University Cancer
Center Quality Assessment / Outcomes and Peer Review Committee.
