Research Interests

Our research interests are stem cell biology and neurodevelopment. We are particularly interested in the molecular mechanisms regulating stem cell pluripotency (the ability to form any tissue lineages), self renewal, differentiation, and survival, and their implications in induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells generation and clinical application. Current projects include utilization of stress-adaptation response in regenerative medicine for treatment neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease and Stroke; and molecular chaperone regulation of stem cell pluripotency.
