Since 2012, the Ethics committee began collecting data related to primary concerns, outcomes of consults, and quality of care indicators.  These data have shown that early involvement of the Ethics Committee improves the quality of care received by patients and decreases the distress of the care team and families as they work together to determine the most effective plan of care.
