Data Governance

University Data Governance Framework

Data GovernanceTo be formalized in FY 2018, the University Data Governance Framework consists of a coordinating function provided by Institutional Research, designated data trustees, data stewards, institutional analysts and IT service managers.  The individuals designated to these roles will collaborate on the myriad of responsibilities for the management and maintenance of the university’s information in accordance with our policies, state and federal reporting guidelines, and national standards of best practice.

Augusta University’s data governance framework is administered by an Executive Committee, chaired by the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness.  The Executive Committee evaluates input received from key campus data stewards and cross institutional data domain advisory committees.
