Minor in Economics


The Hull College of Business offers a minor for students interested in achieving a fundamental understanding of theoretical and applied Economics. The minor consists of six (6) courses (18 credit hours).


Minor Coursework

To earn a minor in Economics, students must complete the following courses with grades of "C" or better:

Lower Division Required Courses (6 hours)
  • ECON 2105 – Macroeconomics
  • ECON 2106 – Microeconomics
Upper Division Required Courses (6 hours)
  • ECON 4420 – Financial Markets and Institutions or
    FINC 4420 – Financial Markets and Institutions
  • ECON 4820 – International Economics and Finance or
    FINC 4820 – International Economics and Finance
Upper Division Elective Courses (6 hours)
Complete two (2) of the following:
  • ECON 3105 – Intermediate Macroeconomics
  • ECON 3106 – Intermediate Microeconomics
  • MATH 3210 – Math for Business and Economics
  • Others as determined by Economics faculty
