Augusta University Advocates

The past several years have been challenging for higher education in Georgia and across the nation. At Augusta University and Health System, we are focused on our core mission and commitment to academic quality even as we manage the reduction of significant financial support from the state. Through visionary leadership and a laser-like focus on academic and student programs, we and will continue to be a comprehensive research university with high quality and in high demand.

We need your help to meet the needs of our students and our communities.

We believe that our university's strongest asset is the Augusta University family. We ask you to join the Augusta University Advocates Program, a voluntary grassroots group that seeks to engage, inform, and encourage the Augusta University community to communicate with members of the Georgia General Assembly and the United States Congress regarding issues of importance to Augusta University, academic health centers, and higher education.

The Augusta University Advocates Program is strictly voluntary, not time-intensive, and there is no monetary commitment. We need Augusta University Advocates all over the country, not just in Georgia.  "Calls to Action" will be issued 3-4 times per year via email from Augusta University. During these times, you will be supplied with background information on the issue and Augusta University's position. During the Georgia General Assembly's annual session (January-April), you will receive legislative updates via email.  Your email address will not be used by Augusta University for any other organization's solicitation efforts.
