The Office of Faculty Development and Teaching Excellence seeks faculty nominations for a special “Caught in the Act” Award that recognizes our colleagues for representing the values of Augusta University: Collegiality, Compassion, Excellence, Inclusion, Integrity and Leadership
In the Spring of 2018, faculty will be invited to nominate colleagues for this award. Using only 140 words, nominators should identify a specific act or behavior that represents one of AU’s values. (See format below.) Each faculty member may nominate only one colleague.
Collegiality - Amy Abdulovic-Cui, Biological Sciences
Compassion - Laura Lee, Physician Assistant
Excellence - Debbie vanTuyll, Communication
Inclusivity - Ruth McClelland-Nugent, History, Anthropology, & Philosophy
Integrity - Almira Vazdarjanova, Pharmacology & Toxicology
Leadership - Dale White, Sociology, Criminal Justice, & Social Work
We want to honor faculty for excellence in teaching acts, large or small, that inspire students and exemplify teaching excellence. Nominations should include name of the instructor and a description (no more than 100 words) of the act that led to the nomination. Submissions will be accepted continuously throughout the fall and spring semesters. Winners will be announced monthly.
