Bio

Dr. Catherine P. Slade is a Professor of Management at the Hull College of Business. She earned her PhD in public administration and policy from the joint program of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University in 2008. Dr. Slade teaches courses related to leadership and ethics, principles of management, and health care management. Exploring ethical practices in research and research productivity are major aspects of her scholarship.

Research Interests

Dr. Slade specializes in research related to the science of science policy, health sciences development, and health care management, policy and ethics. Her research interests come from her 30 years of health care experience working with hospital systems, rural hospital networks, long term care and retirement facilities, physician and allied health provider groups, and state and federal agencies. She has worked as a hospital executive, a consultant and a researcher addressing issues associated with health science industry economic impacts, health care strategic planning, and health care policy reform.
