Course: Basic ECG Strip Interpretation Course


This two day course is designed to provide the learners with the basic knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation.

  1. Identify the heart chambers, the cardiac muscle layers and the heart valves.
  2. Explain the four common characteristics of all cardiac cells.
  3. Identify the key components of the cardiac electrical conduction.
  4. Utilize the six step method for rhythms interpretation for each:

    ■ Sinus and Atrial Dysrhythmias

    ■ Junctional Dysrhythmias

    ■ Ventricular Dysrhythmias

    ■ Heart Blocks

    ■ Pacemaker Rhythms

Audience For healthcare providers or students that are required to monitor and interpret ECG monitor strips or wish to learn more about rhythm interpretation.
