Impacting Student Learning Conference

The 18th Annual Impacting Student Learning Conference will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 7:30 - 3:30 at Augusta University (formerly Georgia Regents University) in Augusta, Georgia. The conference is focused on practical strategies for enhancing P-12 student learning. Concurrent sessions will be aimed at pre-service and practicing teachers (new and veteran) and professors who teach pre-service and in-service teachers. Sessions include topics such as classroom management, integrating technology effectively, differentiation, assessment, STEM, effective instructional strategies, and parental engagement. There will also be opportunities for participants to network with fellow educators. Previous participants report they have learned many new ideas they were able to immediately implement in their P-12 or higher education classrooms.

Malcolm Mitchell will be opening our conference this year. He will be available to sign pre-ordered books between 7:45-8:20 am the morning of the conference. His amazing story can be found at: http://www.readwithmalcolm.com/.

Dr. Ja’net Bishop will be our keynote speaker. She is speaking on “Falling Back in Love with You…and Teaching.” In her inspirational keynote, she will engage educators to rejuvenate themselves through providing self-care, preventing burn-out, and living a more holistic life, presenting their “best selves” each school day.

Registration is FREE for all Augusta University faculty and students and all faculty in our Partner Network School Districts (Burke, Columbia, Jefferson, McDuffie, Richmond, and Warren School Districts). Lunch: Atlanta Bread Company sandwich (meat or veggie), chips, pickle, dessert, and drink is optional and can be purchased for $7.

Registration for non-Augusta University students is $25 and all others is $50. Registration prices include lunch.
