Hello,

I want to welcome and encourage you to explore how you can become part of our bridge MPA program. The bridge Master of Physician Assistant (MPA) program will allow graduates with a baccalaureate in physician assistant studies from an accredited physician assistant program to earn a master’s degree while continuing their career in health care.

Nationally certified physician assistants who graduated from an accredited bachelor’s-level physician assistant program and alumni from the Medical College of Georgia Physician Assistant program who graduated between the years of 1974 and 2007 – the last year of the bachelor’s degree program- will be eligible to apply for the MPA bridge program.

On a personal level, I am an alumni of the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) Physician Assistant Class of 1986 and received my Masters of Health Education from MCG in 2003. I have been a member of the physician assistant program faculty since 1992. I work with an outstanding group of PA educators that are dedicated and committed to excellence. The Augusta University PA faculty members have been recognized on national and regional levels for their many contributions to the profession.

I am pleased that you are interested in the Augusta University Physician Assistant bridge MPA program. The Augusta University has recently celebrated 38 years of physician assistant graduates for the state of Georgia. We are the only state-assisted physician assistant program in Georgia. We embrace our statewide mission in meeting the healthcare needs of Georgia's citizens.

Our faculty have worked hard to build a unique graduate curriculum that will develop excellent clinicians, educators and leaders of the future. I look forward to your application.

Warmest regards,

Laura E. Lee, MHE, PA-C
