*Note: Life Enrichment students who submit minimum re-centered SAT scores within the 7 years of 500 Critical Reading and 500 Math can opt to exempt the COMPASS.
If you meet admission requirements as a non-traditional student based on your academic record and are required to take the ACCUPLACER Exam, the results of your exam determine your eligibility to enroll at Augusta University.
You will review notification via the applicant checklist if you are required to take the ACCUPLACER Exam. Please note as Augusta University transitions from offering the COMPASS Exam to the ACCUPLACER, you may still see references to the COMPASS. Just apply those references to the ACCUPLACER. If you see that you are required to take the COMPASS, you are actually required to take the ACCUPLACER.
The ACCUPLACER Exam is given by the Office of Testing and Disability services. They may be contacted at 706-737-1469. You can also visit their website augusta.edu/tds for information about ACCUPLACER. The Testing Lab is located on the first floor of Galloway Hall. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am through 11:00am, as well as Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, unless otherwise stated on the calendar. Registration is NOT required for this test and students can arrive anytime between the times that the test is offered. Picture ID is required for testing.
Please note that ACCUPLACER Exam scores received from other institutions must be less than one year old and will be considered on an individual basis for acceptability per University System of Georgia Board of Regents standards.
