The program is designed to train professional counselors at the graduate level in the specializations of School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC).
Both the School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentration areas are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The accreditation runs through October 31, 2022. Roughly half of the counseling programs in the country currently meet the exacting CACREP standards, and the faculty is extremely proud of the significant achievement.
The Counselor Education program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
